About PROM

PROM showcases the hidden potential of historic buildings through a transformative, one night celebration.

PROM is the primary fundraising event for the Power of Preservation Foundation. Proceeds support the hands-on preservation programs of the City of San Antonio’s Office of Historic Preservation. To date, we’ve improved more than190 homes in legacy neighborhoods across San Antonio through training programs like Students Together Achieving Revitalization (STAR), Rehabarama, and individual workshops on topics such as wood window and porch restoration.

At each PROM the Power of Preservation Foundation grants three awards:

• Champion Award - The Champion Award honors outstanding individuals or organizations that exemplify a commitment to historic preservation in San Antonio and contribute to the city's built heritage, cultural identity, and/or community resilience.

• Vision Award

• Outstanding Project Award
