The throwback party of the year, the 2023 PROMenade Gala took place in the Tower Life Building, built in 1929, the same year as the first Academy Awards. The Best Picture that year? Wings, starring Clara Bow and filmed in San Antonio at Kelly Field. Hedrick Building Exterior Restoration
The Power of Preservation Foundation funds hands-on repair projects across the city that combine education and community service. To date, we’ve helped repair and restore more than 210 homes and train more than 2,500 individuals via our programming and partnerships. Proceeds from PROM will be allocated towards supporting the Living Heritage Trades Academy and community rehab workshops, the Material Innovation Center at Port San Antonio, REHABARAMA, and the development of new youth-oriented programming that combines heritage and climate to develop the future local stewards and leaders of tomorrow.
